    The Solutions Engineer is a key member of the Aeris connectivity solutions engineering team providing customers and sales representatives with in-depth product knowledge and industry expertise during customer engagements. The Solution Engineer will prepare presentations, demonstrate Aeris’ capabilities and work closely with key prospective customers to assess technical requirements, prepare and articulate connectivity solution proposals.


    • Work with customers and a variety of internal teams in sales, marketing, software engineering, operations, and support
    • Provide subject matter expertise for cellular IoT hardware and modules
    • Advise sales teams regarding customer hardware inquiries
    • Guide customers through cellular hardware approvals for various carriers and governing bodies
    • Maintain a lab of customer test hardware and internal testing equipment
    • Support pre-sales engagements of Aeris IoT customers
    • Consult with sales teams to identify and develop new opportunities
    • Communicate value proposition and demonstrate the Aeris platform and services to customers
    • Gather customer requirements and articulate complete technical solutions to meet customer needs
    • Execute customer onboarding activities
    • Own and drive technical issues to resolution during customer evaluation and onboarding periods
    • Contribute to the development of technical documentation for customers and internal teams
    • Manage customer RFx responses


    • 6+ years of technical  experience with an emphasis on technical sales support for cellular IoT hardware or connectivity
    • Technical leadership with excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to solve customer problems in a collaborative manner
    • Experience presenting to customers at all levels - engineering to C level
    • Deep knowledge and expertise in cellular IoT hardware and radio modules
    • Experience with hardware certification process - PTCRB/FCC
    • Broad knowledge of cellular networks LTE/CDMA/GSM
    • Understanding of 3GPP standards and cellular call flows
    • Expertise with AT commands and device troubleshooting
    • Knowledge of IoT applications end-to-end
    • Strong familiarity with the following:
      • IoT messaging and IP protocols MQTT/CoAP
      • IP protocols TCP/UDP
      • Device scripting
      • Various programming languages such as JavaScript, C, Python, etc.
      • API integration
      • Web service communication protocols REST and SOAP
      • IP network concepts
