Aeris is seeking a Director, Business Development – IoT Solutions with a proven track record of working with channel sales teams to grow business.  Your primary objective is to work closely with the local sales offices of our strategic partners to train, educate and assist their sales teams; gaining mindshare for Aeris’ products and solutions and driving significant revenue growth.   • In cooperation with our strategic partners, identify opportunities to sell Aeris products into new accounts
  • When appropriate, lead the sales process from strategy development to proposal design to contract negotiation.
  • Integrate into the partner sales offices, becoming the trusted advisor in the IoT space
  • Work with other Aeris resources to manage the sale of complex IoT solutions
  • Conduct frequent training and education seminars
  • Work closely with Aeris Marketing and Product teams to bring IoT solutions to market
  • Gather feedback from the field, identify new and emerging IoT opportunities and deploy new solutions that meet market needs.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of sales opportunities


  • Strong background selling technical solutions with a history of successful quota and/or sales objective attainment.
  • 10+ years sales experience, including at least 5 years in B2B outside sales involving complex solutions (SaaS or PaaS).
  • Experience selling to high-level executive decision-makers
  • Experience with consultative sales techniques, including customer needs analysis, account planning and solution selling
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in both Japanese and English languages is required
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a high growth environment
  • BA/BS degree
